Grief is a natural emotion that occurs when we lose someone we love or something valuable to us. It is a natural part of our human experience. As we watch our daily news talking about the recent loss of a loved queen, Queen Elizabeth II, we connect with this feeling that is felt worldwide. She was very loved by many around the world and can even say she felt like a family member, always there during holiday speeches and announcements. This collective grief is something we are all dealing with, especially as we see her casket arriving back home to Buckingham Palace. This sadness is one of the hardest challenges we face when we lose a family member or loved one.

The news of the queen’s death can bring back memories of losing a loved one in our own life, be it a parent, a child, or someone very close to us. It can bring up intense feelings such as sadness, confusion, and grief, that we thought we had left in the past. Although we may not forget these emotions, we can certainly learn to cope with them and manage them in a healthy way.

It takes time for someone to grieve. We do not overcome these feelings overnight. There are stages we all go through that helps us to move through our loss and sadness. Yet, we also know that these feelings can be processed and diminished over time. We all have our own grief journey and learn to cope with these feelings through a variety of stages. These stages, as describe by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross in her 1969 book, On Death and Dying, are Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. As we move through our grief, we can either go through some or all of these stages.

As we deal with our grief, there are also homeopathic approaches that can help with these emotions. These homeopathic remedies can help us heal and recover from our loss. Below you can find a variety of these remedies to help you move through your own grieving journey.
